August 26th 2009 - Preview launch of the first DTR broadcast

Three cities are to kick off Digital Terrestrial Radio broadcasting officially in France this December. As a strong symbol, the Siel-Satis-Radio trade show is happy to hold a preview to the launch of the first Digital Terrestrial Radio broadcast in France. This operation is made possible thanks to the support of 4 broadcasting companies: TDF, VDL, towerCast and the partnership of France Broadcast, the association of French manufacturers of broadcasting equipment. The preview launch will be held after the official inauguration of the trade show at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday October 20th 2009. Well-known political figures and leaders in the audiovisual field will be attending. The digital broadcast will be of the show’s own radio station, the studios being located in the “Radio Broadcasting” area of the SIEL-SATIS-RADIO trade show. This temporary station will not only represent all of the occupations in radio broadcasting from inception to broadcasting on the air, but also broadcast the SIEL-SATIS-RADIO show both in DTR and FM with scrolling RDS. Radio stations are invited to report on the launch live on stage thanks to a ready-to-use studio available on demand. Reservations should be sent either by e-mail to siel-satis@reedexpo.fr or by fax to +33 (0)1 47 56 65 32. A digital radio and a DTR will be lent to those exhibiting in the Radio Broadcasting area. Journalists and other exhibitors can request access to it as well.
